On Volunteering for Pets ? Adopt A LAPCAT

Volunteers Make a Difference!
Join like-minded people and make new friends, both two and four-legged!? When you give the gift of your time and affection, you get back much more than you give!

How can I help?
The Sacramento County animal shelter is always seeking additional adult volunteers to care for our animals and help find them new homes. Committed, caring volunteers are essential!? There are many ways to get involved, including walking the dogs, socializing with the cats, clerical projects, morning feeding/ cleaning,
events and fundraising, fostering animals and much more!

Right now, kitten season is especially challenging, but year-round, we need people to open their homes to animals until they are ready for adoption. Learn about fostering and helping the animals.? Fostering saves lives!

Another upcoming shelter volunteer event is the 3rd Annual Sacramento County Animal Shelter Flea Market to save and support the shelter on June 2-3, 2012.? This has been an absolutely huge event and a deal maker the past two years, and all proceeds benefit the 15,000 animals that enter the county animal shelter yearly.? It would also be a great way for new volunteers to get involved, meet people, and help shelter animals and the community right away.

The next Volunteer Orientation is Saturday, May 19th, 11 am ? 1 pm in the shelter classroom at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento.? (More Details Here!)

If I haven?t already convinced you to get involved in helping shelter animals, here?s some information from PetSmart Charities:
