1930: Augusta Wolves play first night game in the South
1958: Detroit Tigers end affiliation with Augusta because of a lack of support
1962: New York Yankees establish Augusta team
1963: Yankees end affiliation; South Atlantic League folds
1988: Minor league baseball returns with Augusta Pirates with Len and Ann Monheimer as majority owners and Bill Heaton as minority owner; Heaton Stadium opens
1990: Newspaper heir Bill Scripps buys team from Monheimers and Heaton
1994: Team renamed GreenJackets
1995: Lake Olmstead Stadium opens
1998: Scripps sells team to Boston businessmen Mike and Jeffrey Savit
1999: GreenJackets begin affiliation with Boston Red Sox
2005: Ripken Baseball purchases GreenJackets from Savit brothers; team becomes affiliated with San Francisco Giants
2008: Augusta sweeps Charleston, W. Va., to earn 10th South Atlantic League championship
2012: Agon Sports & Entertainment purchases club from Ripken Baseball
